We are a Creative Curriculum-based childcare center in Wayne County. We care for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old and provide a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready to join school.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is based on nurturing the whole child. By blending indoor and outdoor classrooms and environments in a home-away-from-home environment, we are able to create a space where children feel empowered and ready to learn.

Who We Are
Nene's Little Angels got its start in Redford in 2017 by Chenita Farmer. We decided to do things a bit differently at Nene's Little Angels by creating a space which fosters early learning in a fun and safe environment where children from 6 weeks to 12 years old can explore the world around them.
We believe our innovative approach gives children a bright and positive start in life as we encourage both exploration and discovery as well as emotional intelligence and building friendships.

About Our Redford Location

Our Classrooms
Infants (6 Weeks - 12 Months)
At Nene’s Little Angels, we know how precious these early months are, and we’re here to provide the love, care, and attention your baby needs to thrive. Our nurturing teachers create a warm and comforting environment where infants feel safe, secure, and loved. Through gentle interactions, tummy time, sensory play, and plenty of cuddles, we help build strong emotional bonds that lay the foundation for healthy development.
Toddlers (1 - 3 Years)
Toddlers are naturally curious explorers, and we embrace their energy and excitement for learning! In our toddler room, children are encouraged to move, play, and discover the world around them through hands-on activities. We focus on building independence, problem-solving skills, and self-expression while incorporating structured learning through play. From music and movement to creative art and early language development, our program supports every child’s growth in a fun and engaging way.
Preschool (3 - 4 Years)
Preschoolers are eager learners, ready to build on their growing knowledge and social skills. Our program introduces early literacy, math, science, and creative arts through interactive lessons and group activities. At this stage, children expand their vocabulary, engage in meaningful conversations, and develop the confidence to express their thoughts and ideas. Our teachers provide a nurturing environment where preschoolers can learn, play, and prepare for their next big step—Pre-K!
GSRP Pre-K (4 - 5 Years)
Our Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) Pre-K class is designed to give children the best possible start on their journey to kindergarten. Funded through the Michigan Department of Education, this program provides a rich learning environment that focuses on early academic skills, social-emotional growth, and hands-on experiences. We foster a love for learning through engaging activities, group discussions, and interactive lessons that help children build confidence and prepare for future success in school.

Merging Teaching and Childcare
We offer a variety of programs, including childcare for infants and toddlers, preschool, and pre-kindergarten.
We also offer before and after-school care for children up to 12 years old.
We believe that it’s never too early to start learning and that it’s vital to always present opportunities for children to learn and grow as soon as they start at our center.
By developing our programs with curriculum experts and childcare specialists, we’ve been able to hone in on what makes early education a success and created a learning program that allows our children to enter school seamlessly.
